The museum is housed in the former convent of Sant’Antonio dating back to the fifteenth century, with five-seventeenth-century frescoes in the cloister and the refectory. Exhibited are artifacts(locally produced and imported ceramics, jewelry) which are the result of excavations carried out in the neighboring town of Serra Città and Piano del Pignataro, inhabited by indigenous people in close contact with the world of the Greek colonies on the Tyrrhenian coast.
